Geometric Block – Twin Quilt - 60” x 93”

This batik quilt is made up of 84 individual 6” squares. Each
square is made up of 5 different fabrics. The war, rich colors of
this quilt range from bright to dark gold, light to dark burgundy,
many of nature’s natural greens, and dark navy with highlights
of gold. Combinations of these colors are created in both
geometric and botanical pattern textures. The blocks are
arranged 7 blocks across and 12 down and highlighted with a 2”
bright gold inner border and a 5” navy outer border. The quilt is
finished in the same binding as the outer border.

Geometric Block – Double Quilt - 77” x 96”

A batik quilt made up of 180 individual 6" squares. Each
square is made up of 5 different fabrics. The colors of this
quilt were inspired by the flora of the Hawaiian Islands and
range in the many shades of yellow-orange-pink-red. Most of
the batiks used are almost solid, alike in color with very few of
the fabrics appearing to be very textured. Batik fabrics for this
quilt were collected from shops all over the USA over a four
year time span as yellow and red are uncommon in Indonesian
batiks. The blocks are arranged 12 blocks across and 15
down - a contemporary setting with no borders. The quilt is
finished in a mauve-pink binding.

Circles in Space - Wall Hanging - 50” x 52”

Multi-colored circles float over a background of seven vertical and textured batiks. The circles are appliquéd in quarter-
circles and float in and out of the background in three sizes. Color, texture and design scale of the batik fabrics create
a blend of color and depth of illusion. The curve of the circle design disguises the 7½” block size and 7 x 7 block quilt
layout. This borderless quilt is bound in light mauve-purple.
